Central Railroad Festival


The Central Railroad Fetival will take place on Friday, May 15 from 6:00 p.m. to Midnight and Saturday May 16 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. A celebration of Central’s railroad heritage, featuring music and railroad festivities in downtown Central. On Friday, May 15 the Central Railroad Festival will begin at 6:00 p.m. with bands featuring southern eclectic rock. Admission is free and the entertainment wraps up at midnight. The festival continues May 16, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., in downtown Central with the grand opening of the Central Railway Museum’s new headquarters, local food, bluegrass music, entertainment for children and arts and crafts vendors. Admission to the festival is free and convenient parking is available. Bluegrass artists Charles Wood, the Lonesome Road Band, Curtis Blackwell and the Dixie Bluegrass Boys and the Wildhog Band will perform.
